The human species could not survive without functional male and female reproductive systems. The Reproductive System play essential roles in the development of the structural and functional differences between males and females, influence human behavior, and produce offspring. However, the reproductive system, unlike other systems in the body, is not necessary for the survival of an individual human.

Infertility is reduced or diminished fertility. The most common cause in males is low sperm count. If the sperm cell count is below 20 million sperm cell per milliliter, the male is sterile.
